GAP Commemorates International Women\u2019s Day 2026<\/h4><\/div>
The Grassroots Alliance for Progress (GAP) joins the global community in celebrating International Women\u2019s Day (IWD) on March 8, a day dedicated to recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while advancing the global call for gender equality and empowerment<\/p>\n

International Women\u2019s Day has been observed worldwide for more than a century and was formally recognized by the United Nations in 1977 as a global occasion to celebrate women\u2019s contributions and promote the protection of women\u2019s rights and dignity<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s global theme, \u201cRights. Justice. Action. for All Women and Girls,\u201d highlights the importance of ensuring that women everywhere enjoy equal rights, fair justice systems, and meaningful opportunities to contribute to society and national development.<\/p>\n

On this important occasion, GAP celebrates the resilience, leadership, and invaluable contributions of women in Ghana and across the world. Women continue to play a vital role in strengthening families, driving economic growth, promoting social progress, and sustaining democratic governance.<\/p>\n

GAP particularly recognizes the contributions of grassroots women who serve as community leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, caregivers, and agents of development within their communities. Their dedication to family welfare, community progress, and national development remains indispensable.<\/p>\n

As an organization committed to grassroots empowerment, GAP reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender inclusion, leadership development, and welfare support for women across all levels of our structures. We believe that empowering women is essential for building strong communities and achieving sustainable national progress.<\/p>\n

Together, let us celebrate the achievements of women and renew our collective commitment to building a society where every woman and girl has the opportunity to thrive, lead, and contribute to national progress.<\/br><\/p>\n
